Indian Wedding Photographer
I decided to create this post to help my couples and other future clients to choose their wedding photo locations in Surrey, BC. It will be very helpful also for my Indian couples as I do a lot of Indian weddings in Vancouver every year. I am sure there a lot of places you can find in Surrey for photo sessions but I wanted to focus on just a few on them and explore their pros and cons.
Bear Creek Park Wedding Pictures
Bear Creek Park is one of the most popular wedding photo locations to go after the wedding ceremony. There are two entrances to the park, from 140 street and 88 Avenue. Both entrances are great for parking your car or even the party bus, but I prefer the one on 140 street as it tends to be less crowded. Parking is free and there is a reasonable amount of open and shaded spots. The are several most recognizable spots there. This is the famous gazebo, a duck pond with the bridge and of course the multiple pathways with wooden benches all across the park.
Holland Park
Holland Park is considered Surrey’s Central Park. It has nice city views, as well as the Blooming river and Dogwood trees alley. This park can be a bit busy during weekends and parking can be limited. I love to bring my clients to this park during the spring season and close to the fall season when it is not too hot.
Surrey City Hall Plaza
It is one of the best wedding photo locations in Surrey if you are into urban style. It is also great for pre-reception pictures or engagement photoshoot. For those rainy days, it is possible to take a few pictures inside the library if they allow it.
Fleetwood Park Wedding Photoshoot
This is one of my favourite parks although maybe not a lot of people know about it. It is a rather small but beautiful park with plenty of free parking. Pergola at Fleetwood gardens is an absolute gem of this park. And you can see why from the pictures below. It is great for engagement and wedding photography especially during the blooming season in April and May. I love to bring my Indian couples after the temple ceremony for the Indian wedding photo session.
Surrey Court House
You have to see this little gem to appreciate. It is located between the Surrey Provincial Court and the RCMP office. This is a rather small park and hardly seen on the map but a fantastic place for some epic pictures. It features a nicely manicured garden with lots of trees, flower beds and a pond. Parking there is limited but every time I was there it was always paid available underground.
